FABER CASTELL

Aiko Fukuda Solo Exhibition "Cabinet of Curiosities" sponsored by FABER-CASTELL

“Cabinet of Curiosities” is an exhibition of three-dimensional papercraft works centered around the possibilities of illustration and paper as a medium. In collaboration with Faber-Castell the heritage writing instrument brand, I transformed the store’s display cabinets into a surreal miniature universe. Using only their sketchbooks and colored pencils, I expanded the boundaries of two-dimensional illustration, turning intricate drawings into three-dimensional pop-up narratives. The exhibition functioned as an experimental space exploring the possibilities of illustrative expression, and together with participatory drawing events and a special paper-cut film, evolved into an immersive art project that invited audience deep into my creative process.
